For its part in the Go Green campaign, JMCT carried out a programme to reduce its carbon emissions. This involved: replacing old air conditioner units with new energy-saving models; the replacement of two rubber-tyred gantry cranes with two new rail mounted gantry cranes to reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions; energy saving labels on all electrical appliances to promote a reduction in general electricity consumption; and the recycling of steel wire ropes, iron, tyres and waste engine oil. JMCT recycles 410 diesel cans on annual basis.
