A local wetland reserve – the Delta del Llobregat – located 15 minutes by car from BEST’s terminal facilities, was the location of its GO GREEN activity. Staff members spent the day removing invasive exotic plants growing in the area to assist in the recovery of the natural habitat. They were instructed which types of plants to remove, and how to do so, by a member of “Espais Naturals del delta del Llobregat”, the society dedicated to the conservation of the wetland. In total, 150 kilograms of plants were removed and taken to a local dump for transformation into compost.
