Hutchison Ports Bahamas

Staff at FCP, FHC and GBAC in the Bahamas took part in beach clean-ups at two local beaches: Xanadu and Lover’s Beaches. They collected aluminium cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, foam cups, paper products, clothing and discarded asphalt roof shingles.  In total 37 bags (757 kilograms) or trash was collected and transported to a landfill.

As part of its GO GREEN activities, trees were planted at FCP, FHC and GBAC by staff members. Tress species were the Yellow Elder Tree (whose flower is the national flower of the Bahamas), the Lignum Vitae Tree (the national tree of the Bahamas) and the Poinciana Tree. Trees were also planted at traffic circles in the vicinity of each BU.
