On 21 September, staff and managers from SICT planted trees at the gateway to the terminal, joined by officers from the local China Immigration Inspection office. The location for the trees was chosen to shield neighbours from noise and dust. SICT also introduced various measures to save electricity, recycle paper and segregate recyclable materials such as scrap metal, lubricant, hydraulic oil and used tyres.
