Thai Laemchabang Terminal & Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal

TLT and HLT took part in two GO GREEN activities designed to persevere marine species and their natural habitats.

On 23 September, TLT and HLT joined with DP World’s and PSA International’s local terminal operations for an artificial reef planting activity. The artificial reefs protect the local marine ecosystem and animals’ natural habitats. They also promote the regrowth of coral reefs by restoring seawater from the Thai Eastern Sea to the area. A total of 142 staff and management participated.

Earlier in the year, on 25 June, staff and management TLT and HLT joined with colleagues from DP World, the Port Authority of Thailand and shipping line SITC to plant mangroves at Laem Chabang Village, creating a natural barrier to prevent erosion caused by waves. Around 1,000 mangrove trees were planted.
